Response: It has taken extensive research, but I have come up with an answer to your question. I will warn you, the answer involves a dragon, solar winds, and a guy named Phil. If you're up to it, read on.

It is an endless cycle, so we will start at dawn.

When it is still dark out, the dragon is sleeping. But, dragons being early-morning people, they tend to wake up before everyone else.

When the dragon awakens, he yawns, which also sends a huge fireball soaring into the sky (because he arches his head back when he yawns, like most people do). The first person ever to view this happened to be the dragon's father, a guy named Phil. He screamed, "SON!" because he was shocked at what his son had done. Unfortunately, this was in ancient times, and the locals didn't spell so well. Also they were stupid. So they thought he was calling the fireball "son," but they also spelled it wrong ("Sun").

And, once the fireball is in the air, solar winds push it through the sky, orbiting it around the Earth. Unfortunately it is extinguished after a while, and then it is night again. Fortunately this happens just before the dragon awakens, and then the cycle repeats itself.
