Re: Sometimes people do not understand

It makes me angry when people judge those they know nothing about. As a nurse, I have seen many patients with degenerative disc disease. It's excrutiatingly painful and mobility is limited. For someone to live day to day with nerve pain, which is the worst pain imaginable, and maintain a positive attitude is nothing short of miraculous.

I admire your husband's attitude and forebearance. I also think he is a lucky man to have you in his corner. The best advice I can offer for people that are insensitive to the situation is to ignore them. Just walk away. Or, if you want to get them thinking when they say it must be nice to stay home all day, simply say, "I pray you never have to find out." Hopefully that will make them think twice.
