Thanks for your reply. Yes, I suppose that by extension, it does help me, personally. Helping others often lends some valuable outside perspective on my own situation. Also, I think that there is a certain empathy that arises out of that-a sort of unspoken bond and understanding of what others experience. It also keeps me humble.
