Jean, Not being able to do what we USED to do is something that gets to A:LL of us with almost any disability. The reasons likely vary with that disability, but we've all been there. Yoiu're right, we sometimes feel less than whole because of it. I know there have been a number of times since Kenzie and I married (two years ago next month) when on some of her worst days, she's admitted to basically feeling useless, because she wasn't getting everything done that she wanted to or planned to that day. I had to tell her again that she's not useless; that I fully understand why neither one of us gets everything done we want to do in a day's time, and that she is sitll an important part of my life. So Jean, whenever you get down because you can't get everyihing done, remember that that, too, is common to all of us with Fibro, and that you are FAR from alone, and far from actually being useless. We all know, because we've all been there, and will probably feel that way again in the future. But it's part of living with Fibro, and it's another reason this forum exists so that we can help each other through that, and any other "bad days" or troublesome situations we may face. See you soon! Jim |
