"Invalid Item" ![]() rigel_50 I give it 4½ stars I smiled and nestled closer When you reached for me in your sleep When you woke to kiss my forehead When our silence ran so deep. You were warm and you were strong And a comfort to my soul But that was once upon a dream, And now I'm lying here alone. I could feel your phantom hands As they pressed into my skin To smoothe away the cares of day, Release the fears within. And your warm and gentle touch Gave the lie to your image, But that was once upon a dream, And you still cover your face. Once upon a dream, we set appearances aside We let our feelings rule us, and we felt that we could fly. Once upon a dream, we spoke nothing but the truth. Once upon a dream, I said many things to you That in the fiery light of day, You will ever on deny And demand that I show evidence Of a loving you-and-I. I guess I should know better, But it's something I don't show. That that once upon a dream Isn't one that I'll let go. |
