Just piping in...Carol I've read most of yours and I see the confusion here. Gideon is the arrogant one...so couldn't he be the pet Valen is looking for? Who says that Valen can only collect pets from Earth? Why can't he collect a demigod...one who likes to dominate. Considering that my character and Traci's character have submitted to Valen's whims, it would be fun for Valen to watch various members of his menagerie be dominated by one of the pets.

Just an idea, and one that will allow Gideon and Greg to remain as they are.
