This is absolutely beautiful. Not sappy at all. As a mother of teenage boys I will tell you that I would love to know that after all the argueing, yelling, tears and prayers my sons come away with knowing that I love them, want to keep them safe and only want to help them be the best they can be. I hope you shared this with your mother. I know that she will appreciate it.
