I agree with what Amy said, and there are tons of reasons.
As someone that makes a concious effort to not thank people I can tell you that I don't thank people due to a lack of manners. I thank those who give me a gift that I feel I have earned, but if I don't feel that I earned their gift, I don't thank them.
Bot games are a little different. I don't see Bots GPs as gifts, they're something the creator throws out there from their own motivations. They didn't intend on being kind to me, so I don't feel it appropriate to thank them for thier GPs in that case. Sure it's kind, and maybe even generous but it wasn't intended on going to me (as I am a lurker in scroll and they don't know that I'm there)
I don't mean it to be rude, but I don't find the thank you to be merited so I don't say it. It's not intended to offend you, it's only my opinion.
