They had to work together. Their strokes had to be completely synchronized for the spell to work. They had to practice and practice with ink on paper because when the time came, there would be only one chance. A downstroke, a curve upwards, a cross over, a swirl. These would be the wand strokes to capture the God of Water. Any mistakes would be deadly. A threatened deity could lash out uncontrollably, and the three priests conducting the ritual as well as all their attendants would be decimated. It happened once before when they attempted to take the Three Witch Goddesses of the Tribe of Lithilia. A horizontal line, a half moon down, a slithering snake up. These would be the wand strokes to capture the God of Fire. And so on through the pantheon of the conquered land of Panagos. Each pagan god these misguided people worshiped would be enclosed in a crystal, and offered at the feet of the one true God in the Shrine of the Everlasting. Then the land of Panagos would know who their new master was. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
