English as the Second Language

No, at the moment I don't write in German - but I begin talking German like it was English.

A few days ago I offered a friend from college to accompany her to her building where she had her next course.

In German you say: "Ich begleite dich." (I'll accompany you.)
I said: "Ich laufe dich rüber." (I'll walk you over to...)

As you see both is possible.

I have two professors - one from England and one from Australia - who are talking German the same way sometimes.

Funny, isn't it?
