Suggestion Box

I only recently realized that the tech support forums are all made public and can be viewed without being a member.

I found all my posts in such forums by googling and I did not like that one bit. We have links in those posts, we have at times, info ok to be viewed by members but by anyone on the web at large. I now need to get a habit to check access restrictions wherever I want to post and if public, I might not post.

Same goes for blogs. I have my reasons not to want some of what I post or comment on being made accessible this way.

Since we have many things that are kind of doubled and tripled, like the links for creating an item, accessing email etc, and I was wondering if a notice above the forum posting area, in the black line or something, to remind the access restrictions settings as well as the rating of the forum or item, could be added, it would help keep that in mind when posting.

And reading some of the post I found by google and replies etc made me think that it does not help popularity of the site to be able to see all the posts in those forums that were complaining or at times straight insulting, thus bad publicity.

Just suggestions but to be reminded of access and ratings I would really find helpful.

Oh, last thing, it is via a googling of myself I realized support forums had no restrictions. I think it would be good to have that mentioned in the little black line that serves as a header above the intro of the forums.
