I've got the words, if you've got the time.
Gimme your best Para/Poem. |
Diddlysquat Evanesce Lotted Dictate Itinerate Jaunt They're saying worldwide food shortage is inevitable 'Cause more Chinese are middle class And they want meat (Meaning beef), Like the West must dictate What the world's rich should want to eat. Meanwhile food stamps are being used at their highest rate Since 1961, at least where I'm from, And people are needing to buy beans To make the meals stretch. I ain't got diddlysquat, But I got more than that. All the same, I'd rather eat beans than beef. Back in China itinerate nomads have been Driven from the land Because it can't support them any more And crowded into cities where they die by degrees, Suffocated in the lotted plains of city life humanity, Like the West must dictate What's really rich anyway. Meanwhile a jaunt down my own street Shows me more empty houses Than I ever thought I'd see And they're building condos by the river. Think somebody's gonna pay A hundred and ninety five thousand dollars To plant themselves there? Crazy city life humanity's leaders Need to be kept away from the effervescence Of whatever it is they drink. I don't think it's champagne anymore. Maybe it's just the chemical stink of pot hole tar Making them mad. Rich can evanesce in an instant. Middle class will mean nothing When the water gets short. Beans or beef may be so dear They can't be bought. And the activists say it's still not too late. We can turn back the clock If everyone screams just a little bit louder, Like the West must dictate What the world will do. |
