A mornings word

So long,
has it been so long?
Didn't realize how time it flies
when you're having fun.
If I had my will it would just stand still
till we all were done.


Minutes fade to hours
as day turn again to night.

Dawn it seems to keep on breaking
another day I've been forsaking
all my life I keep on taking
Time,
so slow the clock keeps ticking
all the days together are sticking.

Years go by without my knowing
still my age just keeps on showing,

and all these tears that I've been crying
while all around me my friends keep dying.

Memories
are all that's left and I can't forget
never said good bye and I regret
that pass me now are their tomorrows
and here I'm left with all the sorrows.
Torn,
a burdened heart now does carry
all the time that I did tarry
Scars I know will never heal
and I'm left alone to try and deal.

So long,
