What would you do in 1000 AD Europe?

Okay, so first of all I would try to land in France because I would have at least some basic knowledge of where the populations would be, and (I think) old French is similar to the French used only in literature or something maybe. Then I would stealthly try to insinuate myself into a feudal community, do my part and hope to survive. Of course I would have to pretend to be mute so as to prevent my speech from marking me as a witch or something! So, I would become a field hand or some other lowly servant because no one would question the serfs and food is guaranteed if the feudal lord wants to continue in prosperity. So there you go, that's what I would do!
