Bluebeard would be a cool one- you can be violent without being overly so and gory - it definitely wouldn't be a children's tale though. You could have lots of fun playing with rumplestilskin too.
The fairtale that I have played with is 12 Dancing princesses - but I focus on the a man who has to discover how they were their slippers out every night. I think there is a lot to work with there.
When I was in highschool I used to write comedy parodys on some of the fairytales like Frog Prince and Princess and the Pea. I think I lost them though - which is kind of a bummer.
