Hi Nevea. I read your message, but not your work. A couple quick comments:

1) Do you have the work's viewing restricted to 'group only' or a passkey? If you have it set to Public, people all over WDC, and sometimes even automated NetBots, will try to download it. This could be what's causing the rapid hits you are seeing. Also, public posting is frowned upon by many or most publishers. Keep it restricted to us and your best friends, if you have not already.

2) Everybody (including me) is eager for those first reviews to pour in. When I posted my first ever work to a review group, I logged on about an hour later to see how many reviews I'd received. The patient people there had to explain to me that it is not unusual for days to go by before the first review comes in. Then sometimes they'll arrive in a flurry. It varies all over the place.

3) As for length... I don't know what your length is. I know that early in my time here, I posted works of about 5000 words and received some polite but firm remonstration. I now have an upper limit of 3500 words, and that's rare. I generally aim for 2000 word. If the piece (chapter or whatever) is longer than that, I break it up into several parts. On the other hand, for e-pubbing, 2000 words is fairly standard for chapter length, at least according to people I've talked to. I realize that as soon as this message hits the board, people are going to jump all over me (always fun in an Erotica Harem).
