Lost in the Wilderness

Please help me. I am so lost...I've been wandering around. I don't seem to be able to find anything ...talked in the chat room lobby for a while last night...but have spent hours trying to learn about the site and am just getting more and more frustrated.

I'm perfectly willing to review stuff.
