I would colaborate to give ideas and leave the actual writing to another. A story I've always meant to write but never have was the Wesley Crusher Starfleet fugitive story where after leaving Starfleet he begins to see the injustices done by Starfleet in remote corners of the galaxy and begins to right the wrongs as a sort of Star Trek Robin Hood. Of course Starfleet can't turn a blind eye forever and send out Captain Riker to bring in the fugitive Wesley. It could play out either way but I was searching for a sort of anti-Starfleet storyline.
