LOL. I want you to know, for the record, that I agree with EVERY SINGLE WORD of what you have written in this entry. I could not have said it better. I too, can be very liberal when it comes to form, and how some poets construct their poems, but I wonder if some poets really know WHY they are doing it. My belief is that if you do not have a specific reason to form erratic lines and one-letter lines, like the above example, you should not do it (perhaps that is my roadblock with Multivalence). Why write something if you don’t know why you are doing it. If you want to speed a poem up, or give it a feeling of dropping, then I understand the reason behind the structure, but to do it for the sake of just being able to call it poetry is ridiculous. Also, as you have pointed out, some of the best poetry written is in the prose style (A brief work in prose that is considered a poem because of its intense, condensed language or because of some other similarity to poems in verse).
