While the "purge" button is all right to delete messages "older than ...." date, it should be made a little more flexible; for example, if it is a team related forum, and a certain member leaves the team, it should be possible to delete only those messages posted by that member. Or, let's say you want to delete only those messages with a particular thread of discussion; or only those messages that are unparliamentary. Some filters, in short.
