It was AWESOME! It was done in a sharp, crisp refreshing way so it was entertaining to die-hard Trekkies as well as interesting to rope a new audience into the Trek Universe
I walked out of the cinema so excited, chattering away like a monkey to my other Trekkie friend I saw it with. We both loved the special effects (especially seeing how a Federation starship is constructed) and I loved the actor from 'Sean Of The Dead' popping up to play Scotty
However I do feel sad about what happened to the Vulcans My poor, pointy-eared friends. What a bummer! Man, you really can't take those Romulans anywhere...

"...The point is, if you lie all the time, nobody's going to believe you even when you're telling the truth."
--"Are you sure that's the point, Doctor?"
"Of course, what else could it be?"
--"That you should never tell the same lie twice..."
