Take a vacation. No, not you, your character. If you have a plot stop and character stagnation, treat them to a holiday; it's a great way to get reacquainted with them and find out some interesting facets to their personality.

For no more than 5 minutes, imagine a holiday destination appropriate to your story world (ie., pleasure space cruiser, Florida Keys, Darkest Africa, Transylvania etc.,). Once you can picture the spot, pick up your pen.
Bump into your character as if you were a regular tourist like them. Have a chat DIALOGUE only. Write for as long, or as little as you like, and then review the conversation for points of interest.
