Almost instant remedy for poison ivy, oak, or sumac
by Kristi Author IconMail Icon
Back in 1999, I was hit hard with my first bout of poison ivy. Until that time, I could climb trees which were completely overgrown with it with no adverse reactions whatsoever. Well, that changed in '99!

At the time, I was a waitress. I was blessed to have had the opportunity to serve a fireman from Alaska who told me how to ALMOST instantly cure it. He told me to simply rub a bit of diesel fuel on the affected area. OH MY GOSH!! It worked within minutes and I was CURED! This came about after spending hundreds for a cortizone shot and doctor's office visits.

I have passed this invaluable information on to everyone I know, as I am a firm believer in it. Most people shy away from this remedy thinking it will burn or stink. Okay, yes it does have a tendency to emit a gaseous odor, but consider for just a second the relief from the insane itching. And no, it does not burn at all. Not at all.

It only takes a small dab; there is no sense in dousing one's self in it. I just use a small wash cloth with just a tiny bit of diesel on it.

Apparently, the diesel absorbs the oil that is contained in the poisonous leaf, which will "miraculously" dry it up and alleviate all itching!!
