Noticing Newbies

Hi, Neets here, I'm having a great time adding tidbits to my portfolio, meeting and reviewing other writers and their works.
I enjoy reviewing, even though I am not a published author.

My reviews are I think at times rather technical in regards to sentence structure and flow, but I enjoy reading writers who have a knack for character development, and that often keeps me reading even in genres I don't often seek out. I try to offer helpful reviews, not just, "that was great", but sometimes I can't resist and add that as well!

I enjoy comedy, I think it's the most difficult genre to write. I love to laugh.

I think this site is amazing because of the members, I'm a member of other writing sites, and while each site has its' own benefits, this one is the most active I've seen when it comes to reviews and interaction between members.

I've been working on a series of stories for children, which includes illustrations. I've worked in the graphic arts field since 1982, and in the past also worked as a commercial artist for local print shops. I also hold a cosmetology license. I'm currently unemployed and hopefully that will change by tomorrow.

I've been writing since I was a kid, and my family tree is full of writers. I would love to become another nut in our tree of writers!

My series is almost ready to market. The decision of whether to try to go it alone or try for an agent has caused me a great deal of effort. I have no marketing skills, and think given the state of the economy, an agent would be the best way to go in order to see my series published.

So now the journey has changed course again! Change is the wind that can fill your sails I suppose, even though I like things nice and boring for the most part! But without that change I wouldn't have found this site so for that I am happy.
