Lord we lift our hearts to you imploring you on behalf of our colleagues, friends and families in Haiti.

For all those missing who will be found, for Diane Caves’ family, for the families of those lost, for those holding on waiting to be rescued, for those injured waiting for medical help and for those who will not survive this tragedy:

Prayer for Haiti

Oh God now please hear us
Praying below
Beseeching your mercy
For each Haiti soul,

For the people waiting
Hungry and cold
Thirsty and injured
Young and old.

May you bless the hands
Of those ministering there,
May they tend to their wounds
With your loving care.

Please comfort the families
Of those who were taken,
Give strength to those Lord
With land and lives shaken.

Give peace to those Lord
Whose hearts are breaking.
Let them know, Dear Lord
They are not forsaken

Bless those that rush
To provide urgent care
For the injured and dying
Suffering there.

May the way be cleared
For help to arrive
So those who are missing
Will be found alive.

May those who are there
Know that we care
Through your Holy Spirit
Ministering there.

May our hearts be touched
So we seek not to blame
As we pray these things
In your Son’s Holy name.
