I totally agree. I wasn't planning on having someone come from the future to warn anyone. Rather the two kids who possibly live in the future (if not they're just two normal kids from present day) find an old watch that may have belonged to their grandfather. Long story short they end up traveling to some time in the past and making their parents disappear. The creator of the watch is actually a clock maker. He becomes the kids legal guardians as they try and fix what they've done...and end up in some pretty big mess along the way. Basically, they aren't even supposed to exist anymore and now they're frozen in time. Meaning they can't age a day...it probably doesn't add up to the science world but I'd rather have imagination over science!
