Tributes to Writing.Com

I distinctly remember the day I found WDC. I had just received a call from my younger sister. She was excited about a writing course she was about to embark on. Now, I don't often feel jealousy or envy, but that day I was swamped by the emotions. I did not have that opportunity. Self-pity washed over me, and I decided to see what was out there. Something, I could do that would make me feel productive.

I typed in "free writing courses" into the search engine, and a link led me to this site. I signed up, never dreaming or believing that this was what I was looking for. To my surprise, it surpassed my expectations. It became my home away from home. I was welcomed with open arms. I found friends that I will cherish forever. I discovered a place where I could grow as a writer, and perhaps more importantly, I could help others grow.

WDC feeds dreams. It encourages hope. It fosters success.
