The WDC NanoLounge

Wow! My hubby came home yesterday after being gone a month. Gotta love the Army. So, last night, we were sitting on the couch talking about NaNo. He's one of my biggest supporters and he wants to try this year.

Anyway, I was worrying about my main idea and if it would carry all the way through to the end, blah, blah, blah. Talking out loud about my characters, and various ideas I was playing with when BAM! The entire thing planned itself from beginning to end. Whoa. Haven't had that happen before, at least not and get it written.

So, while I was worrying about that book, I remembered "The Dark Rider." Poor book. It's been collecting dust for YEARS. As a matter of fact, a form of it can be seen in my profile. (unless I set it to private and I don't remember...) Anyway, what I remember of that book is that... well... it's not very good. I remember 3 chapters having been written and 1.5 of them need scrapped and rewritten. *giggle* That entered my idea of, "What if I took the sentence that started it all, the characters, the complete story line I'd planned out ages ago, and run with it for this NaNo?" This was when I thought my other novel idea was falling flat.

Then!! Scary stuff here. I WANT to see The Dark Rider come alive. However, with The Day SHADE Came to Call fully planned out now, I want to see IT, too! Enter the very scary thought. I have HOURS of free time every day compliments of being a SAHM with all of my kids in school. Toss in a very supportive hubby and I think I can write BOTH of them this year!! *gasp* By the way, my hubby thinks I can pull it off, too.

So, New goal!!! TWO books by the end of NaNo. One falling under Mainstream Fiction, the other being Religious/Fantasy. Oh, yeah. This will be interesting. lol
