Another thing to think about as far as "bad" word choices go could also be where the poet is in their writing career. Perhaps s/he is just beginning to write poetry. What about that poem then? Is it so bad? Maybe you would consider it pretty good if it were his or her first poem. What if that poet is ill at the time s/he is writing the poem? I think there are lots of circumstances to consider, or at least there could be, but that's just the way life is, don't you think?
