It is reassuring that ya'll are open to receiving reviews on your work, because I'll be busy doing that to your assignments this weekend . I agree that technical feedback is more helpful than subjective opinion. Though now that I've said that, I know there are poems of mine where a colleague has suggested a re-write in a perspective that I’d not thought of before... and it has been a terrific edit suggestion. I have learned over time that it is not an “emotional” compromise to revise. I believe studying and embracing the fundamentals of poetry… and polishing, polishing, are the key elements to my publications.
