Ah, I'm sure you're on to something...I saw Season of the Witch with my sister, and we were talking about how it seems he just wants to make a quick movie with not as many lines to learn. Season of the Witch was only one hour and change long! Compare that to some of the two to three hour long movies, and it's only half a script to learn.
I didn't know what the movie was about...I only went in because Cage was in it. What would movies like that be without a 'big name' included...
It makes him happy, and it makes the producers happy as well.
