Challenge #4
This is really quite difficult. Ask me in 2 years and I’m sure these lists will change. In my selection process, the majority of the books I’ve listed as my favorites are not part of a series. I couldn’t really pick a “single” favorite book from the authors in my second list.

Favorite Books (not in any specific order):

1. To Kill a Mockingbird- Harper Lee
2. Pillars of the Earth- Ken Follett
3. The Eight- Katherine Neville
4. The Lord of the Rings- J.R.R. Tolkein
5. Slaughterhouse-Five- Kurt Vonnegut

Favorite Authors:
1. Terry Pratchett— all of his books.
He has an extremely entertaining young adult series-The Tiffany Aching Adventures, a young witch in training.

2. Harry Turtledove, a master of alternate history-
Worldwar & Colonization series

3. Terry Goodkind- Sword of Truth series
4. George R. R. Martin- Fire and Ice series
5. Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child- their "Agent Pendergast" series
