I agree with Ember, Kaylee, and Julie. Another thing to remember is that often times writing is not necessarily 'better' or 'worse' but rather 'different' than others. With more people writing, there's a lot more to cover as far as specific genres and niches. My advice would be to know your target audience, and try not to please every reader you may have. You'll go nuts!
