Fantasy Genre
by Theino Author IconMail Icon

I was wondering about the Fantasy Genre itself. For last few years it has been overwhelmed with fantasy stories regarding: shrinking/growing, farting, animal voyeur, weight gain, etc. making it hard to find the tradiional fantasy stories that I thought should be represented in the genre.
I've found my participation with the site has lacked due to the fact that the genre is saturated with these stories as trying to find a traditional fantasy story to read becomes increasingly harder and harder; usually one or two per page if I'm lucky. It makes it harder to give reviews since finding them is like the proverbial needle in the haystack. It has also made me decide to lapse my account since posting new stories on the genre seems futile when you have to scroll through several pages to find a traditional story.
I am not against these new fantasy stories, I was just wondering if there were a better genre label they could be placed under.
