The 90-Day Novel Group Home

I just downloaded the book for Kindle from Amazon.com. It was only $9.99. Of course, I haven't read it yet or anything, so I don't know the answer to this question (hence the reason I ask it here). Would a novel writing software fit into the plan of this workshop? I only ask because I've found a free one that works very well for me, so I'd post a link to the Website here if it would work with the program. If not, that's completely okay. I just found that having a structure such as the one I use makes it much easier to keep track of all of my novel details and such.
