Hi Debbie!
I haven't really answered the structure questions, per se. By that I mean that I don't have a complete and formal answer to any of them, I don't think. I do keep them in mind all the time - as to what happens during each stage of my story. For me, that makes a complete outline, and I don't think I'm ready to that just yet.
Allan Watt talks about letting the characters tell the story (a point in which I firmly believe) so, until I have fully developed characters, I can't really tell anyone exactly how the story will go and what twists and turns it will take at what point. Of course, I've got a pretty good idea, based on what I know about my characters at this point - but I'm not sure it's enough to make a complete and total outline.
I do, though, think that the way I am going about the writing exercises for every day would be much different had I not given the structure questions as much thought. Because I've been exposed to the structur questions and I'm thinking about them, my freewrites about the writing exercises seem to take place at various points throughout my story.... some at the beginning, some at the end, and others somewhere in the middle.
Write on!
Beck
