Noticing Newbies

Hey people, I don't know anything about this site, I just googled someplace where I could write and this came up first. It looks pretty cool. I like to write and read a lot, lately I've been doing it more often. This past summer while I was on vacations in Europe, I started writing some sort of novel type of thing, I don't know in my mind it is the first and part of the second chapter of somehting. I've shown it to some people and thy say its pretty good, I surely hope so. Oh, I'm 17 and live in Mexico, that's about it for me.
