Uh, you're right in what you see. I missed the part that said you were trying to print an entry. That Print icon doesn't work the same way for entries as it does for static items.
I seemed to recall such a request to print entries without all the header info was submitted some time back but couldn't find it, or the answer (if any). Guess the SM may have to address this.
