A continuing story until the story finishes telling itself. Miss Anne is a pre WWII retired teacher who taught the older grades in a rural Oklahoma two room schoolhouse. Mandy is a teenager who often visits her elder friend, Miss Anne. Besides sharing stories about her beloved Robert who was injured in the Mississippi Flood of 1927, Miss Anne tells about her students' antics, contemporary events of the early 1940's and aspects of her way of life in rural Oklahoma. (I went to a two room school house in rural Oklahoma so the stories are told from my personal memories.)
