I agree with you! Keeping abreast of new ideas is one of the sources for me. Another is my unwillingness to accept what others, I don't care how many letters they have after their name, theorize.

Recently I took on Black Holes and the "Singularity". I recently have been considering Nebulae and now am extending, I think, what ever theories I gain into Dark Matter - I'll see where the science takes me!

First I research, decide, and then try and place a story in the world I have decided exists. It presents challenges and puts my theories to the test as much as they can be for now!
