I prepped two ideas, but one of them requires a heck of a lot more world building than I am going to be able to accomplish before November, so I am writing one... Except it turned into a series idea and if I finish the first one I will go on to the next.
Last year I wrote a novel and a bunch of short stories with an emphasis to create a book of them. I have limited time, so afternoon nap was dedicated to the novel and the time after my daughter went to bed I focused on the short stories. My word count was pretty good when you consider I moved in the middle of November and packed a bunch, too.
Find a schedule that you can stick to, but sometimes you will find a lot more momentum on one project than another. It may not be fruitful to force yourself to work on one specific project at a different time of day or one project today and the other tomorrow. Don't be afraid to simply let the words flow out for whichever project is moving.
