Whoa! Didn't know it made such an impact! Thank you though, Mr. Jed. That was my FMC in mental action, and as she suffers from bipolar disorder - and therefore unstable moods - you're not too wrong with manic. She just got washed away by her feelings.
Yes, spot on the run-ons! Something I still didn't get past yet. German bad habit. But as the FMC is a German manic-depressive female ... It's cool though that they appear fast-paced despite their longness. An oxymoron, as the mean linguist says. I didn't notice the switches in the scenery and in time so much, but actually, they fit Laura's fickle mind quite nicely.
