October Novel Prep Challenge

I was surprised--I had fewer settings than I thought. (Although I realized as I did the setting list that these are the primary settings, but there are also minor settings--restaurants, libraries, etc.) I decided to write up a list of the minor settings I was aware of. With those settings, I jotted down a real-life place to correspond to it. For example, for a restaurant I picked Austin's Steakhouse (a non-chain restaurant near where I live). That way I have a picture in my head, but I don't have to go into too much detail. I think this was most helpful for chain places--i.e., Starbucks, McDonalds--so that I keep one store in mind to be consistent.
