As I'm sure you all know, if an author's account is deleted, everything in their portfolio goes with it. Interactive stories aren't just their work but the work of the Writing.com community as a whole. I think that if an interactive reaches a certain number of chapters (probably somewhere between 500-1000), then that story should be marked in some way and, if the author's account is deleted, then the story gets added to an archive so that all of the work that those people put into it doesn't have to be lost forever. I mean, if a story is able to get that big, then it shouldn't have to be lost just because one person decides to quit.
