I certainly hope not! My understanding is, if you select Group Access Only (by one members-only group of your choice), that's private access, not publication.

However, all members of WDC have access to this forum (NOT Group Items). So if you copy and paste a chapter directly on here, that IS publication. If you post a link to a group-access-only Item, that is NOT publication because non members who follow the link witll get "Access Restricted: you are not authorized to access this Item".

For the same reason, being searchable on google is not publication, if the searcher is blocked when they try to open the link.
