Improvements to review response messages
by A Non-Existent User
Responses to public reviews.
Two linked suggestions.

1) When a reviewee replies to a review using the small box provided, then the reviewer receives an email that shows them what they have sent as a review and then presents the reviewee’s reply at the very end. When I was a newbie, I recall being confused when I often received replies to my reviews, but when I opened the message only found my own review sent back to me. It took me a while to discover the reply was hidden below my review. These days, when my review is lengthy, this means I must scroll down to find the reply. Although I have become accustomed to scrolling down to read this, it does become irritating.

Why not have any text entered into the small box provided automatically presented at the beginning of the review response message? This would avoid any confusion for newbies.

2) Another member recently informed me he was frustrated when I offered criticism in a review because my review was public but he couldn’t respond in a public manner, only in a private review response message.

Would it be possible to have responses to public reviews attached to the reviews in a similar fashion to the way comments may be attached to blog entries or the Site News and Announcements page? Obviously a public/private option on such responses would also be nice.
