"A gift"  in the "Pathetically Awesome Poetry" 

A Gift

"A gift," I exclaimed,
"for your wonderful husband
on this Christmas night?"

"Yes, of course," she said,
handing me a big packet
with paper so bright.

"Thank you!" I said and
rushed to open the wrapper,
absorbed in delight.

"Fast, fast!!" she cheered me,
till I faced the square painting
which was packed inside.

"What the hell!!" I said,
as I saw Holofernes
killed by his own wife.

"A reward!!" she said
"You missed anniversary
once again last night."
