Last month I got a present in the mail
my Minimed Revel had come to stay
but it was so complex it made me pale
I wasn’t up to pumping, yet, NO WAY!
so, as I waded through the owner’s guide
and hours of courses on the internet
I kept syringes poking down my sides
but never touched my new infusion sets
instead, it rested on my desk at home
and I learned all the menu choices fast
until the trainer finally called my phone
we met, it started—yes, I pumped at last

one week with my new insulin machine
I think I like this needle sparse routine
