Echoes of The Heart Poetry Contest

This body of water transcends my heart
It is symbol for the one I love
Tis the place it all did start!
And sent my darling, here thereof!
She came from distance, long indeed
To speak her truth unto my soul
To fill me with the strength I need
To shelter me from all that’s cold

Moments come and moments pass
Though surely my love can endure
Tis true! The feeling does not cease
Though she is gone forevermore
So I pray for time to just move on
But hope is lost and time is gone!
