Drop your new ideas into the Writing.Com Suggestion Box! |
I just read a few Updates from members who were excited about random items in their ports getting reviewed. Anything one has in their port that's set to accept reviews should be looking for reviews. ![]() At this point, I think one of the great things about random reviews is that they do help members get reviews on things they can't actively seek out reviews for. We're a lot about creativity and "keeping yourself outside of a box" here on WDC... and I think the nature of getting a review on a piece of writing in your portfolio -- that you've posted and left to accept reviews -- completely randomly is one of those things that we can offer to help people stay fresh, on their toes and perhaps a little more creative. As for folders, due to the open nature of how that works and the way members use it, I wouldn't be inclined to change or base anything off folder privacy. kiyasama is just one portfolio example where that would be a bad thing. Instead, if you have work you really don't want reviews on, you could be setting those items to "Comment Only". This takes them out of rotation and opens up space for items actively seeking reviews via the review system. Best wishes, ~~SM
